Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish Privacy Statement
In order for your parish to be able to serve you, and function as a parish, we do collect and retain certain information about you. This includes (but is not limited to) Your full name, contact details (including email and postal addresses, telephone numbers), records of financial contributions to the parish and associated parish activities (including fundraising). Records may also be kept of your involvement in parish led activities or ministries and any associated approval documents required.
From time to time limited contact information may be shared with approved parish volunteers to enable the communication about, and coordination of, parish events. These volunteers are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement ensuring the security of the information entrusted to them.
This information will be held in our electronic database. You have the right to access any information held about you at any time, and to correct that information. The parish occasionally shares photographs of activities in its newsletters and other media. This may include the names of participants. Unless you specifically advise the Parish Privacy Officer that you do not agree to this, the submission of our Parish Digital and Written Forms acts as your acceptance of and agreement to the above.
You can request that your name and/or image be omitted from all or individual articles/publications by advising the Privacy Officer. In such cases, your first name may still be used. The parish’s Privacy Officer is the Parish Secretary. Please contact the Privacy Officer if you have any concerns.
