Welcome to the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Wellington. Located in the parliamentary precinct, together with our sister Anglican Cathedral at the other end of Hill Street, Sacred Heart Cathedral plays an important part in the life of the City of Wellington and of New Zealand.

The Cathedral is an architectural gem and a place of beauty which inspires many. Here you will find a place of spiritual enrichment and a warm welcome whether you come here for worship, a concert, a pilgrimage, or time out from the busy city life. It is a sanctuary open to all.
