Calendar
Deacon Kinh Van Nguyen is being Ordained in Wellington this weekend – and everyone is invited to attend!
The Ordination is this Saturday (July 12) at 11am at Sacred Heart Cathedral (40 Hill Street in Thorndon) in Wellington. Kinh will be Ordained by Archbishop Paul Martin.
Originally from Vietnam, Kinh has been studying at the Holy Cross Seminary in Auckland since 2019. During his formation, he wrote: “when we give something to others, we do not lose it, but we really receive something back, and that is the beauty of a life of service.”
We hope you can join us for this very special moment. And please keep Kinh in your prayers.

Scripture Reflection (held every Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 6.45 pm in the Parish Office).
The Gospel scripture for the coming Sunday is read and discussed within a small group. Everyone gets the opportunity to express their views no matter what level of knowledge of the Liturgies. The discussion is deemed to be very beneficial in providing background to the Gospel when it is read in the next Saturday and Sunday’s Masses.

PAPAL HONOUR
At the 10:00 am Mass in Sacred Heart Cathedral, Hill St, on Sunday 20th July Cardinal John will be presenting Agnes Kulatea with the Papal Honour of the Dame of the Order of St Gregory the Great. All are most welcome to come and celebrate this day. Agnes provided administrative support in the Archdiocese of Suva until 1979. In 1983 she took up the role of providing secretarial support to the Rector at the Pacific Regional Seminary. On moving to New Zealand – for over 34 years – Agnes provided secretarial and PA support to the Archbishops in the ADW offices. For those of you who know Agnes she would love you to share this special day with her.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month in Connolly Hall from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
All are welcome. For prayer requests and enquiries, please email [email protected]
