Chrism Mass @ Sacred Heart Cathedral
Apr 16 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Chrism Mass @ Sacred Heart Cathedral | Wellington | Wellington | New Zealand

This Mass manifests the unity of the priests with their bishop.

Here the bishop blesses three oils — the oil of catechumens (oleum catechumenorum or oleum sanctorum), the oil of the infirm (oleum infirmorum) and holy chrism (sacrum chrisma) — which will be used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the diocese for the year. All are welcome.

Scripture Reflection @ Cathedral Parish Office
Apr 22 @ 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm
Scripture Reflection @ Cathedral Parish Office | Wellington | Wellington Region | New Zealand

Scripture Reflection (held every Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 6.45 pm in the Parish Office).

The Gospel scripture for the coming Sunday is read and discussed within a small group.  Everyone gets the opportunity to express their views no matter what level of knowledge of the Liturgies.  The discussion is deemed to be very beneficial in providing background to the Gospel when it is read in the next Saturday and Sunday’s Masses.
