Last December 25 parishioners gathered for Cake, Coffee and Chat – the idea to reconnect with fellow parishioners.
Feed back was “let’s do this again and soon” no formality – gathering in a relaxed atmostphere, the Cathedral Foyer.
An easy date to remember – the first Friday morning of the month 10.30pm – 12.m.d. do come and meet one another – no need to respond- we will post a reminder each month in the Cathedral Connection – if you are free come and say ‘hello’.
All parishioners are very welcome, the more the ‘chattier’. If you would like to note the first Friday dates they are below.
7 February, 7 March, 4 April, 2 May, 6 June, 4 July, 1 August, 5 September, 3 October, 7 November, 5 December.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month in Connolly Hall from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.

Parish Family ‘Autumn Clean’!
On Saturday, 12th April we will gather to do a general cleaning and tidying up of the Cathedral in preparation for the Holy Week. If you can spare some time, we’d love you to join us for a few hours from 9:30am to 12noon! Morning Tea provided.
WE WILL BE DOING THE FOLLOWING:
- Cleaning pathways
- Clearing cobwebs
- Cleaning windows on church and Blessed Sacrament Chapel
- Vacuuming
- Weeding
- Dusting
Things to bring:
- Gloves
- Window cleaning supplies
- Vacuum cleaners
- Dusting mitts/cleaning cloths
- Loppers, sheers and secateurs
- Leaf blowers

This Mass manifests the unity of the priests with their bishop.
Here the bishop blesses three oils — the oil of catechumens (oleum catechumenorum or oleum sanctorum), the oil of the infirm (oleum infirmorum) and holy chrism (sacrum chrisma) — which will be used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the diocese for the year. All are welcome.
