To the People of God (Includes an update from Cardinal John)

Dear All,

Following yesterday’s Government announcement on changes to Delta level 2 restrictions Cardinal John has consulted with his Council of Priests and issued the attached letter (beneath this message) addressed to all people of God. In short, we are to stay with the current level 2 arrangements – no Masses or parish gatherings until further notice.

We thank Cardinal John for his leadership, and whilst this news does not afford us the opportunity to gather in person for worship or fellowship at present please keep uppermost in your thoughts other ways you can care for, offer friendship and support to each other. There are also several opportunities to join together as community on-line via parish Zoom sessions. We strongly encourage you to seek these out, and as Cardinal John asks of us, ‘’be kind and merciful and remember that public safety is more important than personal preferences’’.

Below is the link for an on-line Lectio Divina scripture reflection  every Tuesday, at 5pm. This is a short 40 minute reflection session on the coming week’s Gospel.  It is an excellent way to bridge your working day to personal/family time, especially for those of you who are working from home.
